Roof Repair in Kerrville, TX

Leaks, Flashing and Storm Damage, Repaired Properly
Total Foundation & Roofing repairs roofs in Kerrville, Texas and across Kerr County — Ingram, Center Point, Hunt, Mountain Home and Harper, and east along TX-27 into Comfort. Most minor repairs run $300 to $1,500. We are a licensed roofing contractor based in Kerrville, at 317 Sidney Baker Street.
Three things account for most of the repairs we make here. Sealant and pipe boots go brittle under long summers of direct sun, and they fail years before the shingle field is worn out — which is why a roof that looks fine from the street can still be letting water in. Wind lifts and creases shingles along ridges and eaves, worse on exposed ridgelines and hilltop lots than on the valley floor. And hail arrives less often than it does along I-35, but one event can end a roof outright.
Kerr County sits inside the county warning area of the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio forecast office. What that pattern means in practice is that most Hill Country roof failures are gradual and fixable if they are caught, and the ones that are not are usually storm events.
If a repair will do the job we will say so. If the roof is past repairing we will tell you that too, rather than selling you three more patches on the way to a replacement you will need anyway.

Roofing Repair
Our Services
We take a customized approach to every property, beginning with a detailed inspection.

What We Repair
Roof leaks and flashing failure
The most common repair we make, and usually the cheapest if it is caught early. Failed sealant around a pipe boot, lifted step flashing at a wall transition, a cracked boot, or a valley packed with leaf litter holding water against the shingle. Where the entry point is not obvious we use roof leak detection — thermal imaging and moisture mapping — rather than opening ceilings to guess.
Wind and shingle damage
Lifted, creased or missing shingles, usually along ridges and eaves where uplift is highest. Wind damage is often invisible from the ground: a shingle that has been lifted and dropped back looks intact but has broken its seal, and it will leak in the next driving rain.
Storm and hail damage
Bruised shingles, granule loss, damaged flashing and displaced ridge caps. We photograph and document everything for your insurer and can be on site during the adjuster’s inspection. See storm damage repair for how claims work.
Emergency and active leaks
If water is coming in right now, that is an emergency roof repair — we tarp or dry-seal the opening the same visit, then repair permanently once the roof is dry. Call (830) 792-4070.
Decking and structural repair
Where water has been getting in for a while, the decking underneath is usually soft and sometimes the framing has moved. That is structural work rather than roofing, and it needs doing before new material goes on or the new roof fails early.
Most minor repairs inside Kerrville city limits do not require a permit, but structural work and anything approaching a full replacement does — and the contractor is responsible for pulling it. Requirements are published on the City of Kerrville building permit page. Outside city limits in unincorporated Kerr County the rules differ, and we confirm which applies to your address before starting.
Material-specific repair
We offer full roofing services and repair asphalt shingle, metal, tile and low-slope roofs. Metal repairs are usually fasteners, seams and flashing rather than the panels themselves; tile needs matched replacements and the framing checked before anything heavy goes back on.
Roof maintenance
Most of the repairs above are preventable. Scheduled roof maintenance catches failing sealant, packed valleys and backed-out fasteners before they become leaks.
Why Kerrville Homeowners Call Us for Roof Repair
- We price repairs, not replacements. Most minor repairs run $300 to $1,500. If a repair will hold, that is what we quote — we are not looking for a reason to sell you a new roof.
- Eighteen years in the Texas Hill Country. Owner Daniel Sowell has worked on roofs in this region since 2008, which is why we know sealant and pipe boots fail here long before the shingles do.
- Based in Kerrville. Our office is on Sidney Baker Street, so a repair visit is a short drive rather than a dispatch from San Antonio. That matters for scheduling and it matters for the price.
- Licensed, insured, in-house crews. No subcontracted labor on your roof.
- Manufacturer-approved materials. Owens Corning, GAF and CertainTeed, installed to specification so any remaining warranty on your roof stays intact.
- Roofing and foundation under one company. When a roofline sags we can tell you whether it is framing or the roof following foundation movement underneath — and we also handle concrete work. A roofing-only contractor cannot make that call.
- See the work. Read our customer reviews or browse the project gallery. We work across Kerrville and the Hill Country.

What They’re Saying About Us
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my roof in Kerrville needs repairs?
Water stains on ceilings or walls, granules collecting in the gutters, shingles that are lifted, cracked or missing, daylight visible through the roof deck from the attic, and damp or musty smells upstairs after rain. On a Hill Country roof the earliest sign is usually around a penetration rather than in the open field — check where pipes, vents and the chimney come through.
How quickly should I fix a roof leak in Kerrville, Texas?
Quickly, because the cost curve is steep. A failed pipe boot caught early is a small repair. The same boot left for two seasons has wet the decking underneath, and now you are paying for decking, insulation and drywall as well. Water also does not enter where it appears — it runs along rafters and shows up somewhere else, so by the time there is a stain the wet area is usually larger than the stain.
Can you help with roof storm damage insurance claims?
Yes. We inspect the full roof, photograph and document the damage, and provide a written scope you can submit to your insurer. We can be on site during the adjuster’s inspection so nothing gets missed. The claim itself is between you and your insurance company — we provide the evidence and do the repair. Storm-related damage is covered by most policies; wear and age generally are not.
What roofing materials hold up best in Kerrville Texas weather?
For repairs, matching what is already there matters more than the material itself — a patch in a different product ages differently and shows. When a repair turns into a replacement, Class 4 impact-resistant asphalt shingles and standing seam metal are the two systems that handle this region’s mix of UV, heat cycling and hail best.
How much does roof repair cost in Kerrville?
Most minor repairs in Kerrville run $300 to $1,500 — a failed pipe boot, resealing flashing, replacing a section of shingles. It goes up when the decking underneath has been wet, when access is difficult, or when the damage spans several roof planes. We give a written price after seeing the roof, and we will tell you if a repair is not worth doing on a roof that is close to the end.
Do you offer roof repairs for flat or commercial roofs?
Yes. We repair low-slope and flat commercial roofs — membrane punctures, seam failures, flashing and drainage — alongside residential work. See commercial roofing for TPO, modified bitumen and built-up systems, and for maintenance plans.
